Master Garden Workshop

June 9, 2018 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Claudia West leads a group of Master Gardeners, and others in a demonstration garden creation, using new scientific, sustainable methods of design, pioneered in Europe.  The design method layers various plant comunnities in the intial planting to form dense growth over long periods with little maintenance. A book on the subject is called Planting in a Post-Wild World from Timber Press in Portland Oregon. The Foundation project, called Rescape will be partly enhanced by these methods in its botanical plantings, and so we are very enthusiatic about these methodologies and their future implimentations.
